Watch shingeki no kyojin episode 26
* One year later, Eren sees the ocean, everything is as he's seen in his father's memories, and it makes it that much harder for him to simply dismiss all the other shit he's seen during the medal ceremony. And he goes "wait, that would mean I can no longer 100% trust Armin, and Mikasa is merely programmed to protect me, nothing more? that can't be right?" He hears himself say all kinds of stuff about the Ackermans, something about "hosts" and "ingrained behavior" that he would apparently learn from his brother at some point, he sees himself berating both Mikasa and Armin. * Eren touches Historia's hand, sees a whole lot of confusing / mindblowing shit, such as what really happened back when Grisha massacred the Reiss family, the Rumbling, how it would be stopped (see above). The only possible explanation I could see was more time travel shenanigans: if that restaurant scene was one of the visions of the future Eren had back when he touched Historia's hand during the medal ceremony, it could all make sense:

where did those terms even come from? Did Eren just make them up? Before he even talked with Zeke? Why even ask him about those, then? Why would he expect Zeke to know something about some shit he made up on his own?

Okay, so I, too, just fell down in a familiar rabbit hole, and revisited an old pet theory of mine about the restaurant scene and Eren's claims regarding Mikasa and Armin.Ī problem I had with that scene was that Eren used very specific terms ("host", "ingrained behavior") that he claimed he learned from Zeke, and we later found out (in episode 130) that he was the one who first brought those terms up in his conversation with Zeke, and Zeke didn't even recognize them. So that image of the fort doesn't change anything. He saw how it would end (or at the very least, he saw that he would be stopped by his friends, that Mikasa would choose to do something that would result in Ymir's curse ending and the Titans disappearing, and that 80% on mankind would already be dead by then) back when he touched Historia's hand, four years earlier.
